Today's card uses a stamp set and dies that isn't new, but is lovely just the same. It's called Flower Patch and has been around for a couple of years.
Although I love this stamp set I've struggled with it a little - getting the bigger stamps to stamp properly hasn't been easy and so I've tended to stick to the smaller ones.
However, I recently discovered that if I used the roughest side of a nail buffer (not nail file) to kind of 'sand' down the surface of the bigger stamps I got much better results.
I've used both the stamp set and dies here, and used one of the sentiments with the set which I've heat embossed in gold.
The wood effect that you can see in the background I made with a stamp from the Timeless Textures stamp set in Sahara Sand. I've used Very Vanilla as the mat and card base so that the wood effect looked better.
Note to self - don't forget the old stamp sets you have in your excitement to use new ones!
