Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek - Swirly Bird card

Stampin' Up! Swirly Bird card

Only 3 days to go! The new catalogue goes live on Wednesday 1st June. So, today I have another card made with a new stamp set and matching thinlits.

I have already shown you a couple of cards made with this versatile set, and here's another one. The stamp set is Swirly Bird, and the thinlits are Swirly Scribbles.

I've used the thinlits to make a stylized rose bush. The stem, roses and leaves are all cut from thinlits.

The little bird at the bottom I had to fussy cut. I've used some new In Colours here too - for the roses and bird. The stems are Mint Macaron, and the green card is Old Olive. I heat embossed the sentiment which doesn't show up too well in the photos, but is easy to see otherwise.

I'll be putting the new catalogue PDF up for you to download on Wednesday, so don't forget to come back to see it. You can also order from the new catalogue on the same day.

Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek at Fabulous Flora Hostess stamp set

Stampin' Up! Fabulous Flora card

Today's card features another Hostess stamp set. You can buy this set if you host a party, or put together an order for more than €200/£150 and earn Stampin' Rewards. That's the only way to get one of theses sets, they're not available otherwise.

This card uses one of the stamps from a set called Fabulous Flora. There are four floral stamps and two sentiments in the set. I stamped the outline onto watercolour paper and then used the new In Color Sweet Sugarplum for the flower and Old Olive for the greenery.

I used the Lots of Labels framelits to create the hole for the image to sit behind. The Happy Birthday sentiment, and punches, are from the new Thoughtful Banners set (available as a bundle). The little flowers are punched with the Blossom Bunch punch.

I've used Sweet Sugarplum card for the base - a beautiful colour.

Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek Love You Lots hostess set

Stampin' Up! Love You Lots hostess set card

Ahhh, isn't it cute! Today's card uses one of the stamps from a new hostess set in the new catalogue - out June 1st so not long to wait now. I've also used a couple of stamps from other stamp sets, but more of that later.

So, the hedgehogs come from the Hostess set Love You Lots. There are also ladybirds, an elephant and mouse, and a frog in the set.

I stamped the hedgehogs with Staz'on ink, then used Crumb Cake and Tip Top Taupe to paint them in. I stamped on watercolour paper. The gold card behind is gold foil paper.

Then I thought that I needed to add something to the bottom of the card so I used a stamp from another Hostess set - Fabulous Flora - on its side to make the greenery, then punched a flower stamp from Grateful Bunch to put in the middle.

The card base is the lovely new Dapper Denim.

You'll get an extra 10% (or more if your order is over €375/£275), to spend on products from the catalogue. But you can also use the rewards for Hostess stamp sets, only available to hostesses.

Stampin' Up! Box card using Botanical Builder dies

Stampin' Up! Box card using Botanical Builder dies

These box cards are so clever. They're made so that they fold flat for posting, and will fit into a standard size envelope. And who wouldn't want to receive one of these lovely cards?

Here I used Whisper White for the base, and then used the soon to be retiring Love Blossoms DSP stack.

The flowers I die cut from the Botanical Builders die set that matches Botanical Blooms - both carrying over to the new catalogue, but only available as a bundle with 15% discount until the end of May.

Although I used Rose Red and Blushing Bride which match the Love Blossoms DSP, I also used different colour card for both of the cards I made, and as Stampin' Up! do such a good job with their colours it all co-ordinates!

There are so many possibilities for this style of card, and I have a more masculine card to show you in the next couple of weeks.

I'll be posting out the new Annual Catalogue (in English) next week. So, if you live in France, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany or Austria and you'd like to receive a copy please contact me.

Stampin' Up! Bear hugs and balloon celebration card

Stampin' Up! Bear hugs card with acetate and balloons

I've been meaning to post this card for ages. But they have been very popular at fairs and in my Etsy shop, and this is the first time I've managed to make some and photograph them too.

I've mentioned before that I love this stamp set, and here I've used an acetate strip to create a window in the card. On the inside are four balloons, and I've tried to position them so that the bear looks like he's holding their strings.

The balloons are punched using the Baloon Bouquet punch, and the balloon strings on the front and inside are from the Balloon Celebration stamp set.

I also made a card using the little bear. I have found that people like these cards for all sorts of celebrations - birthdays, births, christenings.

I'm also really pleased that the Bear Hugs, Balloon Celebration and balloon punch are all carrying over to the new catalogue. Hooray!

A quick note - the Bear Hugs and Bear Hugs Framelits, and the Balloon Celebration and matching punch are available as bundles with 15% discount, but only until the end of May. In the new catalogue they are still available but not as bundles. So, if you know you want them, buy them now!

Stampin' Up! Mini treat bag thinlits heart card and bag

Stampin' Up! Mini treat bag heart card

Today's post, like the last one, uses some dies from the Mini Treat Bag thinlits. This time instead of stars I've used hearts and made a wedding card.

Both the large and small hearts are dies in the Mini Treat Bag thinlits set.  I've heat embossed the sentiment in silver, and the sentiment comes from Rose Wonder.

There's a very thin strip of new Playful Palette DSP stack, and the hearts are cut with Blushing Bride glimmer paper.

I decided to use the treat bag thinlits too this time and make a bag.

The hearts, For You, and bow are also in the set - there's a lot of choice!

I used the Triple Banner punch to cut the two banners, and the paper is from the soon to be retired Love Blossom DSP stack.

Hope you like them, and don't forget that if you'd like to see a new catalogue (in English) and you live in Franc, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany or Austria just drop me a line.

Back soon:)

Stampin' Up! Mini Treat Bag thinlits Star card

Stampin' Up! Treat Bag thinlits Star card

When you buy a stamp set or thinlits/framelits set, I expect you're like me, and use parts of them more than others. That's what happened with this Treat Bag thinlits set. Because the main part of it is the bag, it's easy to overlook the other dies in the set.

So, this post, and the next one, I'm using some of the extra dies. Today's card is very simple, but I love the look of it. I've used the large star, and the strip of seven smaller stars to make a birthday card.

Stampin' Up! Mini Treat Bag thinlits star card

I've cut all the stars from silver glimmer paper, and also added a silver strip down one side of the card. You could use any sentiment for this card, but I chose a Happy Birthday one.

That's it - plain and simple, but effective I think. Look out for the next post which uses the heart dies from the same thinlit set.

This set is being carried forward to the new catalogue which launches on June 1st, hooray!

Below are the products I used to make the card - very few!
