Stampin' Up! Remarkable You card

Stampin' Up! Remarkable You card

I can claim no responsibility for this card whatsoever - I have CASE'd it from Dawn Griffith. I saw it, and loved it, so had to have a go myself.

The flower is from Remarkable You. I heat embossed it in gold on Very Vanilla cardstock and then fussy cut it out. I've used Tip Top Taupe dotted lace trim and cardstock. The ribbon is Crumb Cake Stitched Satin Ribbon

The large Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Hostess set Happy Birthday Everyone - available only to hostesses or customers who place a €200/£150 order.

I think you could use this layout with different stamp sets - it's simple but effective, and you could use contrasting colours to change it up even more.

Stampin' Up! Rose Wonder and Rose Garden thinlits birthday card in beautiful Perfect Plum

Stampin' Up! Rose Garden thinlits birthday card in perfect plum

This card uses the small rose from the Rose Garden thinlits dies. The larger rose die has been so popular that the smaller one has been neglected a little.

For this card I've used the small flower stamp from the Rose Wonder stamp set to stamp a tone on tone background on Perfect Plum card, then die cut the smaller rose and added it to some Shimmery White card. Then I've used a combination of Perfect Plum, and Blackberry Bliss ink to colour in the rose.

There are lots of sentiments that come with the Rose Wonder stamp set, and I've used Happy Birthday here, but you could use any of them with this card. I've also used the banner die to cut out the sentiment. The silver ribbon isn't Stampin' Up! by the way.

As ever, Stampin' Up! have made the Rose Wonder and Rose Garden thinlits available as a bundle with a 15% discount.

Stampin' Up! have produced a video to show you lots of ideas on how to use this bundle:

Stampin! Up! Butterflies thinlits neutrals card

Stampin' Up! Butterflies thinlits card

Today's card features another butterfly - it's definitely spring! This time though I've used the Butterflies thinlits

The base of the card is Tip Top Taupe, with a layer of Whisper White, then a top layer using the Crumb Cake DSP from the Neutrals Color Collection DSP

I used the Butterflies thinlits to die cut two butterflies - one in vellum, the other from the Crumb Cake layer, which I layered back in. Add some rhinestones, and voilĂ !

I've used a Happy Birthday sentiment here, punched out using the Decorative Label punch, with a gold glitter layer behind.

Different colour card would give a completely different effect, but this is nice and peaceful I think, especially for a Monday.

Don't forget that you can buy the Butterflies thinlits in a bundle with the Butterfly Basics stamp set, and save yourself 15%

Stampin' Up! Garden In Bloom card in soft sky

Stampin' Up! Garden In Bloom card in soft sky

You can tell it's spring and the weather is getting better - all my cards at the moment have flowers, bees and butterflies!

For this card I've chosen Soft Sky ink for the flowers from the Garden In Bloom stamp set, I love that little bee, and use it far more than the butterfly that also comes with the stamp set.

The ribbon along the bottom is Pool Party Glitter ribbon - not the same colour, but it doesn't matter, it still goes with the card.

I chose to use black Memento ink for the outlines of the flowers and leaves to give the card more definition. For such a pale colour I felt the black outline gave it a bit more oomph.

Hope you like it!

Stampin' Up! Retiring Colours

Every year Stampin' Up! brings out 5 new In Colours that stay in the catalogue for 2 years. So this year the 2014-2016 colours are retiring. After the new catalogue comes out at the beginning of June they won't be available to order anymore.

So, if you have any of the above colours - Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey or Tangelo Twist, and want to get reinkers, cardstock etc, you need to do it now!

As the date for the new colours gets closer, the orders for retiring colours go mad. There will be a limited number of ink pads, ribbon etc, so please don't miss out if you're thinking of ordering, do it sooner rather than later.

Clicking on the above image will take you to the 2014-2016 In Colours section of my shop.

If you have any questions, and you live in France, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany or Austria please feel free to contact me.

Stampin' Up! Watercolor Wings cut out card

Stampin' Up! Watercolor wings cut out card

I've recently come back to the Watercolor Wings stamp set. It's one that I used a lot when I first bought it, then it worked its way down the pile as I started to use other stamp sets.

But I recently saw Jennifer McGuire doing something similar with non Stampin' Up! products, and thought I'd have a go with this.

To make the card you will need the Bold Butterfly Framelits dies - also available as a bundle with the stamp set with a 15% discount.

Mark the card at the half way point, but don't score it. You need to stamp the butterfly so that it's about half way over where the score line will be, then partially die cut the butterfly. Only post half the card through your Big Shot so that only the top half of the butterfly is die cut, leaving the other half uncut.

I stamped smaller butterflies from the set further down the card, and used some sequins to jazz it up a bit. The sentiment is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set.

I made a couple of other cards too in different colours. I'm sure I'll be making more too, I'm really pleased with the way this card has turned out.

Stampin' Up! Pink and glittery Rose Wonder card

Stampin' Up! Pink and sparkly Rose Wonder card

Well, Sale-a-bration is finished for the year, now there's the new annual catalogue to look forward to in June.

But there are still loads of wonderful stamp sets and dies to use until then. For this very pink and sparkly card I've used the Rose Garden thinlit dies. These dies match with the Rose Wonder stamp set, which has not only the lovely rose stamp, but also lots of sentiments for every occasion. You can also buy the bundle and get a great 15% discount.

The rose is cut from Blushing Bride Glimmer paper, and the paper is from the Love Blossoms DSP. The result is a very pink and girly card - something I don't do very often.

The Birthday Girl sentiment is from a Sale-a-bration stamp set, no longer available, but you could use any suitable sentiment here.

Lastly - a quick thank you to those of you who came to see me at the AIKB Easter Fair last Monday. Nice to see you all, thanks for buying.

If you live in France, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany or Austria, and you'd like to know more about Stampin' Up! products, or think you'd like to join my team, please feel free to contact me - I'd love to hear from you.
