Petite Petals card

I've just received the Petite Petals Stamp and punch from Stampin Up! and I love them!

There are six little flower stamps in the collection, same size but different pattern on each, and I used them all in this card. Then used the Petite Petals punch to punch them out. The tiny orange flowers were punched using the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.

I used Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock. The flowers were stamped with Crumb Cake ink and I also used Tangelo Twist for the orange.

The background splodges are from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set in the spring/summer 2015 catalogue which I know I'm going to love too.

Let me know what you think.

Crazy About You cards

I made both of these cards using the flower stamps from the Crazy About You stamp set in the Spring/Summer 2015 catalogue. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the same set, and the Thank You is from the Painted Petals set from the same catalogue.

The inks I used were Blackberry Bliss and Tangelo Twist from the In Colours set. To tone down the colours a little I stamped them on a scrap piece of paper first but I think the Tangelo Twist adds a real pop of colour. Sponging some Blackberry Bliss around the edge of the Thank You tag softens it slightly.

Green box - envelope punch board

Well, that wasn't planned very well was it, two box posts in a row.

This one is at least a little different from the last one. It's kind of a flat shape and you'd fit something fairly slim into it. It measures 4 1/8 ins (10.5cm) wide, 3½ ins (9cm) high, and ¾in (2.3cm) deep.

You'll need a piece of card 7½ ins square.

Using the Stampin Up! envelope punch board, punch and score at 2 7/8 ins and 4 1/8 ins, Turn anticlockwise and score each side following the score lines already made until all four sides are punched and scored.

The back of the box will look like an envelope so you can close it the way that fits the contents best.

I made this very simple with no stamps or embellishments apart from a piece of ribbon. Hope you like it! Next post will have a card or two.

Envelope punch board basket box

Hello!

I made this lovely red basket box the other day with my wonderful envelope punch board. I can't tell you how much I like the fact that not only can you make envelopes the perfect size to fit your cards, but you can also make boxes too with the envelope punch board!

I made this box with an 8" square piece of card, and punched and scored at 1¾" and 4¾" (that's 4.5cm and 12cm).

Then I covered the sides with a patterned card (the card in the photos is not StampinUp! DSP). The tag is from the You Brighten My Day stamp set - available FREE from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue when you spend €60/£45. This offer runs until 31 March only.

Look how many chocolates you can fit in - about 10 Roses chocolates, yum! What would you put in your boxes?

Little gift box using the Envelope Punch Board

Hello! I thought you might like to see this little gift box I made using the Stampin Up! envelope punch board. It doesn't just make envelopes for your cards, it makes boxes and gift bags too.

You can make this little box using a 6 inch square piece of card, which means you can make 4 of them from a single piece of 12 inch square DSP!

So - cut your card to 6 ins square, then punch and score it at 2 ins and 4 ins using the punch board. Round off the corners.

Fold along all the score marks.

Then cut down the first section next to the pointy bit - because it's square it doesn't matter which pointy bit. You need to cut down each side, and then the sides opposite - like this:

Then fold those sides in to make a box - stick those sides in.

I've decorated my boxes using stamps from the Painted Petals stamp set, then punched them using the Decorative Label punch.

Lotus Blossom stamps - Free during Sale-A-Bration

I've had my order from Stampin Up! for about a week now, and I love it! I've been playing with all the stamps and inks that I ordered.

One of the free sets I received was this Lotus Blossom set which I made into Thank You cards using the In Colours paper and ink - Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and Blackberry Bliss

A couple of tips - the Lotus Blossom stamps are a 3 step set, and I found that they worked better for me going backwards from the 3rd step to the first. Also, if you're using the same colour ink for the whole flower like me, try stamping on a scrap piece of paper first on the second and third steps (for me the first and second) so that you get different shades of the ink.

You can receive the Lotus Blossom stamp set free by spending £45/€60 before 31st March 2015

The Thank You stamp is from the Painted Petals set from the Spring/Summer 2015 catalogue.
