Stampin' Up! Year End Sale

I've been away from my blog, and in fact from my computer for a couple of weeks, but now I'm back with some exciting news!

The first is the Stampin' Up! Year End Sale. Click on the above graphic, or alternatively HERE, and you can see what's available. These items are only while stocks last so be quick to avoid disappointment.

Some of the stamps are available in different languages so please make sure you order the right ones, and also check whether they are wood mounted or not.

The reason that there is a Year End sale is because on 5 January the new Spring/summer catalogue is launched - yes already! Also, the Sale-a-bration mini catalogue is launched at the same time that lets you earn FREE stamps sets and paper for every €60/£45 you spend. More details on that to come soon.

Stampin' Up! Embellished Ornaments meets Home for Christmas

Stampin' Up! Embellished Ornaments meets Home for Christmas DSP

Sometimes you need to make a lot of cards, and Christmas is one of those times. I need to make a lot of cards both for friends and family, and for upcoming Christmas Fairs.

So, I've made sets of cards, and this is one of those sets. I made 10 of these cards in about an hour so they don't take long to make.

I've used the wonderful bauble DSP from the Home for Christmas stack, and used the sentiment from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set.

Behind the sentiment I put a larger silver glimmer paper circle. And I've sponged the edges of the DSP and the sentiment to soften the edges slightly.

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Pines heat embossed Christmas cards

Stampin' Up Peaceful Pines Christmas card heat embossed

Today's card is clean and simple, but has several elements to it. I've just used white and gold which makes for an elegant card.

The tree, and sentiment are from the Peaceful Pines stamp set. I've heat embossed them in gold. Behind them I've put some gold glimmer paper, which is on top of a card that I've embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder.

I made one on red card too to see how different it would make the card look.

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Pines Christmas cards

I like them both, but I think I prefer the totally white one best. I've used the Perfect Pines framelits to die cut the tree. You can buy the framelits and Peaceful Pines stamp set as a bundle with 15% off which is a great deal.

Don't forget too that today (20th November) is the last day for the 20% discount on certain stamp sets.

Stampin' Up! Barnyard Babies card - hogs and kisses

Stampin' Up! Barnyard Babies, hogs and kisses

Isn't this card just so cute! I love the sentiment - Hogs and Kisses. The little piggy stamp, and sentiment are from the Barnyard Babies stamp set.

I got the idea for this card on Pinterest, but I can't give a link because when I click on the photo it goes nowhere. All I know is the lady is called Rachel, so thanks to Rachel for the idea.

As you can see I stamped piggies in Smoky Slate, Tip Top Taupe, and Sahara Sand for the background, then Memento black ink to stamp again for the main piggy that I coloured in.

Stampin' Up! Barnyard Babies, hogs and kisses card

I think this will be a very useful card for birthdays. In fact I've sent one already.

If you'd like to see the current Stampin' Up! catalogue with this stamp set in, and you live in France, the UK, the Netherlands, Austria or Germany, please contact me, or click on the link in the sidebar to see it online.

Back to Christmas cards next time :)

Stampin' Up! Delicate Ornaments Christmas cards

Stampin' Up! Delicate Ornaments Christmas cards

I have a trio of cards for you today. All the same but different! I've used the Embellished Ornaments stamp set, and Delicate Ornaments dies to create these cards.

You can buy the two together in a bundle and save yourself 15%. You need a Big Shot or similar die cutting machine for the dies, and they can be a little tricky because they are so intricate, but I love the end result.

Stampin' Up! Delicate Ornaments card

I've kept the colour palette fairly simple - gold, silver, black and green, with a tiny bit of red for the holly berries.

The holly is also from the Embellished Ornaments  stamp set.

Stampin' Up! Delicate Ornaments Christmas cards

I've made quite a few Christmas cards now, but I still have more to make. I hope you are all making lots too!

Upcoming Christmas Fairs I'll be at - the AIKB Christmas Fair, this year in Gouarec at the Salle Bel Air on Sunday 6th December from 11.00am.

And the Les Puces Christmas Fair at Poullaouen Salle Polyvalente on Saturday 19th December - hope to see you there.

Stampin' Up Home for Christmas card with fussy cutting

Stampin' Up! Home for Christmas card with fussy cutting

Hello! I've been away from my blog for a couple of weeks due to family commitments, but I'm back now.

Today I have another Christmas card to show you. This one uses the Home for Christmas  DSP. The papers in this pack are great. Here I've used the Silent Night sheet music design for the background, and fussy cut the little smiling deer from another design.

The sentiment is from the Cozy Christmas stamp set. I've added three rhinestones for some sparkle, and used dimensional pads on the deer and sentiment to add some depth to the card.

A date for your diary - I'll be at the AIKB Christmas Fair on Sunday 6th December. This year it's being held at the Salle de Bel Air in Gouarec from 11.00am til 5.00pm. Come along and get some Christmas goodies!

Stampin' Up! Barnyard Babies watercolour cards

Stampin' Up! Barnyard Babies watercolour card

Isn't this card just lovely? Or should I say ducky!

These stamps come from the Barnyard Babies stamp set. It arrived last week and I'm so glad I bought it, I love it. I decided that I didn't have any stamps for children that I could also use for adults, and I think this set covers both.

Here I've stamped the duck three times and added the little chick at the end. I used Stazon ink on watercolour paper and then used the Aqua painters to colour them in with Soft Sky, So Saffron, Old Olive and Tangerine Tango.

I also made this card with a different stamp from the set

Stampin' Up! Barnyard Babies watercolour card

How sweet is that! There's also a horse, a goat, a cow and a pig - look out for those cards to come. And the sentiments are usable too - I sometimes think that the sentiments are a bit too bleurgh for me, but these work.

The background paper is from the Pretty Petals designer paper stack - 48 sheets of 6" x 6" (15cm x 15cm) paper.

Here's Stampin' Up!'s version of the cards. Hope you like them, see you soon!

Stampin' Up! Timeless Elegance card

Stampin' Up! Timeless Elegance DSP card

I don't often use DSP (designer series paper) on my cards. It's not that I don't like it - this for instance I love. It's just that it's a little bit out of my comfort zone. I have to think about how much to use, how to use it, where to use it - it's too complicated!

But this card actually is very simple as you can see. I've used a design from the lovely Timeless Elegance stack. All the designs are neutral, some floral and some patterns.

Stammin' Up! Timeless Elegance card

This paper has no colour, so I sponged some Pink Pirouette onto the flowers. Then added some Mint Macaron 1" dotted lace trim. The strip of paper on top of the lace is the other side of the main floral design.

Then I used a sentiment from Butterfly Basics and punched it with the Decorative Label punch. Very simple, but I think it works.

Below are some other designs from the Timeless Elegance series.

If you find yourself around Le Sourn (near Pontivy) this Sunday 11th October you could look in at the Royal British Legion's troc. On from 10.00am til 2.00pm I'll be there!

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Pines Christmas card, heat embossed, for World Card Making Day

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Pines Christmas card

Did you know that today, October 3rd is World Card Making Day? Today is a good day to get out all your card making paraphernalia and make a card for someone special. Well, any day is a good day to make a card of course, but today is an extra special day!

My card today is another Christmas card, this time using the wonderful Peaceful Pines stamp set. I love trees on Christmas cards so this it a wonderful stamp set for me. I stamped the tree in Old Olive, then used gold embossing power with Versamark to heat emboss the little baubles and pot.

Stampin' Up! Peaceful Pines card

I added presents around the tree - there have to be presents of course - using different colours. Then used the Lots of Labels framelit dies for the sentiment.

Inside I used a stamp from the Cozy Christmas stamp set.

Don't forget too that the Peaceful Pines also has some dies that go with it (Perfect Pines dies). You can buy them both together in a bundle and save 15%.

Wonder who'll be getting this one?!

Stampin ' Up! Sleigh Ride edgelits meets Cozy Christmas card

Stampin' Up! Sleigh Ride thinlits meets Cozy Christmas card

I know it's only just October, but it's time for making your Christmas cards!  The nights are drawing in now and it's not so warm so it doesn't feel too weird.

I just love the Sleigh Ride edgelits and have used them many times already. For this card I've used a Smoky Slate card background with Whisper White die cuts on top.

I cut out a circle and used the paper left around the circle as a mask to sponge the moon. Then added Santa on his sleigh from the Cozy Christmas stamp set. I used gel pens rather than a stamp for the snow.

Another great thing about the edgelits is that you can used the card left from the cut out on the inside of your card to write on.

I'll be posting more Christmas card ideas in the next few weeks. In fact there's another one tomorrow.

See you then!

Stampin' Up! Build a Birthday card with floral decoration

Stampin' Up! Build a Birthday card

Sometimes something bright is what you want, and sometimes something more subtle is what's needed. I've made this card before using brighter colours, but this time wanted something paler. I  love the colours in the Subtles collection, and used them to make this card.

So, this uses So Saffron, Pink Pirouette and Soft Sky, a combination I love! To add a bit of a lift I've used three punched flowers from the Itty Bitty Accents pack in Rose Red.

Stampin' Up! Build a Birthday card

I used the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set for the sentiment, with some Silver Glimmer Paper behind.

Splendid!

Stampin' Up! Delicate Ornaments meets Home For Christmas DSP

Stampin' Up! Delicate ornaments thinlits, Home for Christmas DSP

Today's post is part of the Pootler's Blog Hop, please click the buttons at the bottom of the page to see the other posts in the hop.

Well, these cards were a happy accident, isn't it good how that happens sometimes?

I had spent the morning with the Crafty Rebels (see post below) making Christmas cards. When I came home and unpacked, Bambi and Santa were looking out at me from holes in card we had cut using the Delicate Ornaments thinlits.

Stampin' Up! Delicate Ornaments, Home for Christmas DSP

That seemed like too good an opportunity to miss, so I embossed the cards using the lovely Softly Falling embossing folder and added a sentiment to each on the bottom. For Santa I used the Christmas sentiment from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set - just colouring the word Christmas.

For Bambi, I used the stamp from the Cozy Christmas stamp set. I love them! Let me know what you think.

This is the type of card we were making with the cut outs - a brilliant way of making the most of your card stock!

Stampin' Up! Watercolor wings card with vellum overlay

Stampin' Up! Watercolor wings card

Today's card uses the lovely new Watercolor Wings stamp set. Stampin' Up! cleverly made the sizes of the butterflies just right for the Butterflies Thinlits. These thinlits originally were made to go with the  Butterfly Basics set which carried over from the  Spring/Summer catalogue.

Stampin' Up! Watercolor wings card

So, I've used Blushing Bride, Tip Top Taupe and Calypso Coral for the butterfly, then die cut it. Over the top I've added another die cut using the Butterfly Thinlits. I've used vellum for this so you can still see the butterfly underneath.

The sentiment is from the Butterfly Basics set, and the DSP is from the new neutrals Designer Series Paper stack.

Hope you like it!

Stampin' Up! Serene Silhouettes embossed birthday card

Stampin' Up! Serene silhouettes embossed card

Hello everyone! Today's card features the lovely Serene Silhouettes stamp set, and some embossing. I wanted to use the flower stamp as a silhouette rather than colouring it, so it needed something else around it to give it a bit of oomph.

So, after I stamped the silhouette, I cut out a hole in another piece of card, using one of the Lots of Labels framelits, then embossed it using the Arrows embossing folder.

Stampin' Up! Serene Silhouettes and Arrows embosssing folder card

I used Pacific Point Stitched Satin Ribbon, and Tempting Turquoise for the sentiment. Et voilà!

Stampin' Up! Awesomely Artistic card

Stampin' Up! Awesomely Artistic

Don't you just love a simple card that is this effective? The flower stamp around the outside is from the wonderful Awesomely Artistic stamp set. There are a total of 9 stamps in the set but I wanted to keep this card simple so I just used the flower and leaf stamp around the outside.

I've coloured them in with pencils because I wanted to keep the colour subtle, but Stampin' Markers would work just as well.

I stamped the flowers in Old Olive, the butterfly in Calypso Coral, and the sentiment in Rose Red, so a bit of a mish mash, but I think it works!

Stampin' Up! Awesomely Artistic card

The punched butterfly is from the Papillon Potpourri set, and the Happy Birthday is from the Happy Birthday Everyone hostess set.

Hostess sets are exclusive to hostesses of parties that reach 200€/£150, and are available at special low prices.

Stampin' Up! Crafty Rebels

I spent a very happy few hours last week with the Crafty Rebels craft group. Based in Maël Carhaix, they meet every two weeks for a morning of crafting. This is the second time I have been invited to bring my Stampin' Up! kit for them to craft with.

This time we were using Christmas stamps and dies. You can see what the group produced in the photo above.

I love the way they took ideas that I showed them, then did something completely different! Many Bambis and Santas were cut from the Home For Christmas DSP.

Thanks so much to them for inviting me, I had a great time.
